The Police Assisting Community Enhancement is a team of the City of Anderson’s Community Police division, staffed by six officers located at the Westside Community Center. The team has implemented numerous programs and participated in special events with charity groups, schools, churches and civic organizations. They give talks on personal safety, bicycle safety, drug awareness, and crime prevention. They patrol assigned areas, performing regular police officers' duties. They also give tours of the Police Department and assist in Christmas toy donations for needy families.

The team’s overall goal is to assist in improving the quality of life for citizens in the community. PACE is a very important and critical member of the Westside Community Center’s family. Their presence in the Center has made a positive difference in the community by providing a measure of security, safety and positive interaction with agencies and visitors in the Center and the community.
